OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

1. SPONSOR

The I’d Rather Be With You Song Contest is sponsored by The Boottzilla and affiliated promotional partners.

2. ELIGIBILITY

• Open to legal residents worldwide.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Void where prohibited by law.
• Employees, affiliates, and immediate family members of Sponsor are not eligible.

4. HOW TO ENTER

To enter, participants must complete all of the following:

A. Purchase Requirement

Purchase an official 50th Anniversary T-Shirt from the following collection:

Proof of purchase (order number) is required on the Contest Entry Form.

B. Song Submission Requirement

Participants must:

• Record a performance of “I’d Rather Be With You” by Bootsy Collins.
• Submit either:
• A traditional Cover Song, OR
• A creative Reimagination of the song.
• No samples from the original master recording may be used.
• The recording must be newly created by the entrant.

C. Submission Format

• Upload your performance to YouTube.
• Add your public YouTube link to the Official Contest Entry Form.
• Complete and submit the full Contest Entry Form during the Contest Period.

Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

5. ENTRY GUIDELINES

• The submitted work must not infringe on any third-party rights.
• Performances must not contain explicit hate speech, unlawful content, or defamatory material.
• Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate or non-compliant.

6. JUDGING CRITERIA

Entries will be judged based on:

• Musicality & Performance Quality
• Creativity & Original Interpretation
• Overall Production Value
• Authentic Funk Spirit & Artistic Expression

All judging decisions are final.

7. PRIZES

1st Place Winner

• Autographed Fodera Star Bass
• Featured Interview across Social Media Platforms
• Featured Interview on The Bootsy Collins Network
• Bootzilla Swag Bag
• Personalized Signed Letter from Bootsy Collins

 2nd Place Winner

• Bootzilla Swag Bag
• Personalized Signed Letter from Bootsy Collins
• Featured Artist Link on bootsycollins.com, including direct links to the winner’s social media pages

8. WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners will be notified via email within fourteen (14) days of selection.
If a selected winner does not respond within seven (7) days, an alternate winner may be chosen.

9. RIGHTS & PUBLICITY

By entering, participants:

• Grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use submitted videos for promotional, marketing, broadcast, and social media purposes.
• Agree to allow their name, likeness, and performance to be used in promotional materials related to the Contest.
• Retain ownership of their original recording.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS

• Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if technical issues, fraud, or unforeseen circumstances interfere with proper operation.
• Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries.
• All federal, state, and local taxes associated with prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, affiliates, and partners from any liability, injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance of prizes.

12. AGREEMENT TO RULES

Participation in the Contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding
